Lamb burgers are a flavourful change from beef burgers; if you don’t see ground lamb at your supermarket, ask the butcher to grind some for you. A salad of sliced cucumbers in a yogurt-dill dressing and warmed pitas complete the meal.
1 pound lean ground lamb
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons rosemary leaves, minced
pepper to taste
6 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
1. Combine the lamb, salt, garlic powder, rosemary, and pepper. Form into 4 burgers.
2. Cook the burgers in a nonstick skillet until browned, about 5 minutes, then turn over and sprinkle cheese. Cover and cook until the cheese melts and the burgers are cooked through, about 3 minutes longer.
