Growing up, we had a garden that gave us all our vegetables. Everyday we would go out to the garden and pick our veggies, often taking nibbles as we walked back to the kitchen. Now that Spring is upon us, cravings for my favourite salad starts! Serbian salad. Very simple to make, it is full of vitamins, protein and taste. Give it a try but be warned; we love our garlic so it can be scaled back depending on who you plan to kiss later on!

4 tomatoes
1 cucumber
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
half a red onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
Feta cheese, crumbled
Olive oil
White vinegar
salt
pepper
Vegeta spice (can be found at any grocery store. You will not find a Serbian dish without this spice!)

Cut all vegetables into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl mix the veggies with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and vegeta. Add more oil/vinegar depending on your taste. Toss in feta cheese. Mix altogether. Enjoy!
